JAZZ “ROARS” INTO EUREKA SPRINGS

(EUREKA SPRINGS, AR) — The much anticipated annual celebration of jazz begins, this year, here on Thursday, September 8. Scheduled that day is the Roaring ‘20s Jazz Lawn Party on grounds of the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa. Performing for costumed guests -and those who just come as they are- will be The Crescent City Combo. Admission to the 7p.m. to 10 p.m. soirée is $10 per person with tickets available at the door or by going online to ReserveEureka.com . Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
The lawn party is just the foretaste of a weekend overflowing with music for jazz fans. The schedule for the rest of the weekend is as follows:
>Friday, September 9… Rodney Block Collective will be playing for “The Block Party” in Basin Spring Park located in the center of downtown. Admission is free and gets underway at 7pm
>Saturday, September 10… The musical day begins at 12 noon in Basin Spring Park with six hours of free performances. Those performing will be Matt & Gus Jazz Duo, Claudia Burson Trio, Calle Soul Band, and Justin Young.
The Brubeck Brothers Quartet, an exciting jazz group featuring two members of one of America’s most accomplished musical families, will headline the weekend festival with a 7:30pm performance in The Aud, Eureka Springs’ city auditorium located downtown. Tickets are $30 per person and are available online at TheAud.org .
>Sunday, September 11… Jazz Eureka comes to a “taste-full” end when the doors swing open for the annual Jazz Eureka Sunday Brunch in the Crystal Dining Room Restaurant of the 1886 Crescent Hotel. While guests fill their mouths with the exquisite breakfast and lunch items, their ears will be filled with the jazz stylings of Swing & A Miss from 10am to 1pm. Cost is $24.95 per person and includes passed champagne. Reservations are recommended by calling 479-253-9652.
